Terms of use

These terms apply to your use of the AmpQuote app for iPhone and iPad (iOS and iPadOS 26 or later). By downloading or using AmpQuote you agree to these terms. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) also applies. If these terms and the Standard EULA conflict, the Standard EULA applies to the extent required.

What AmpQuote is

AmpQuote is a tool that helps tradespeople create quotes and invoices. It lets you keep a price book, build quotes, capture a client's signature on screen, convert accepted quotes to invoices, create and send PDF documents, record payments, track overdue invoices, add job photos, and export your records.

The price book can start with common task names for the trades you choose, with no prices. You set your own rates.

Your responsibility for tax and records

AmpQuote lets you set a single tax percentage, which is applied to the lines you mark as taxable. AmpQuote includes no tax tables.

You are solely responsible for using the correct tax rate and for the accuracy of your quotes, invoices and records. Please check every document before you send it.

AmpQuote does not provide tax, legal or accounting advice. If you are unsure what applies to your business, ask a qualified professional.

Signed quotes

When a client signs a quote on screen, the quote is locked and its PDF is fingerprinted with SHA-256. The fingerprint can be used to show that the PDF has not changed since it was signed. AmpQuote does not make any statement about the legal effect of an on-screen signature; whether a signed quote is binding depends on your circumstances and where you work.

Payment links

You may add an https link from your own payment provider. AmpQuote prints it on your documents as a web address and QR code, and never opens or fetches it. AmpQuote processes no payments. Any payment your clients make happens between them, you and your payment provider.

Your data

Your data is stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud private database. We run no server and cannot access, restore or recover your data. You are responsible for keeping your own backups; Export Everything gives you a ZIP of all your data at any time. See the privacy policy for details.

AmpQuote Pro subscription

  • AmpQuote Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold through the App Store.
  • It costs US$14.99 per month or US$149.99 per year. Prices may vary by country and are shown in the app before you buy.
  • Each option includes a 14-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.
  • The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in the App Store or in iOS Settings.
  • Payment and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms.
  • Without an active subscription you can create up to 3 new quotes each calendar month, and use every other feature with them. Unlimited quotes and blank invoices require a subscription. You can always view, export and erase all your data.

Acceptable use

Use AmpQuote only for lawful purposes and only with information you are entitled to use, including your clients' details.

No warranty and limits on liability

AmpQuote is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that it will be free of errors or always available, and we are not liable for losses arising from incorrect prices, tax rates, documents or records, or from lost data. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
