AmpQuote

Privacy policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

This policy explains how the AmpQuote app for iPhone and iPad handles information. In short: your data is stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud account. We, the developer of AmpQuote, run no server and cannot see, access or recover your data.

What AmpQuote stores

AmpQuote stores the information you enter or add to it, which can include:

  • client details: names, companies, phone numbers, email addresses, site addresses and notes;
  • quotes, invoices and payments you record;
  • your price book and business profile (for example your logo, licence number and an optional payment link);
  • signatures captured on screen and the signed quote PDFs;
  • job photos you choose to add.

Where your data is kept

All of this data is stored on your device and protected by iOS Data Protection, which means it cannot be read while your device is locked.

If you are signed in to iCloud, AmpQuote syncs your data through your own iCloud private database (Apple CloudKit) so it is available on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. Client contact details are stored using CloudKit encryption. Apple's handling of iCloud data is described in Apple's own privacy policy.

We operate no server. There is no account with us. We cannot see, access or recover your data, so please keep your own backups; you can use Export Everything at any time (see below).

Photos

Photos are only added when you choose them from the system photo picker or take them with the camera. Before a photo is saved, AmpQuote resizes it and removes all of its metadata, including location.

What we do not collect

AmpQuote includes no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no crash reporting and no third-party SDKs. We do not collect any data from the app. The App Store privacy label for AmpQuote is "Data Not Collected".

The app makes no network requests except to Apple's services: iCloud (CloudKit) for your own data, and the App Store (StoreKit) for subscriptions.

Payment links

You can enter an https link from your own payment provider. AmpQuote prints it on your documents as a web address and a QR code. The app never opens or fetches this link. AmpQuote processes no payments and stores no card data.

Sending documents

Nothing is sent automatically. Quotes, invoices and exports leave the app only when you send or share them through Mail, Messages or the share sheet, where you review the message before it goes.

Permissions

  • Camera: used only when you tap Take Photo.
  • Face ID: used only for the optional App Lock.
  • Photo library: no permission is needed, because the system photo picker gives the app only the photos you choose.
  • AmpQuote does not access your location, contacts or microphone.

How long data is kept and how to delete it

Your data stays until you delete it.

  • Erase All Data in the app's Settings deletes every record and attachment on the device and the copy in your iCloud private database. If iCloud cannot be reached at that moment, the deletions sync the next time the device is online.
  • You can also delete AmpQuote's iCloud data in iOS Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Storage.
  • Deleting the app removes the data stored on that device.

Getting a copy of your data

Export Everything gives you a ZIP file of all your data at any time, whether or not you have a subscription.

Children

AmpQuote is a business tool and is not directed at children.
